ECHORUNE occupies Chamber 4 of the Granados Cave System, 400 meters below the surface. Seven resonators work in absolute silence, carving runes with bone tools and tuning them by ear. We don't use electricity; the cave provides the acoustics. The chisel is obsidian; the measuring tape is a pendulum. A game is a glyph, and a glyph is a frozen frequency.
A title begins as a blank wall of limestone. We listen to its natural hum, then carve a rune that either amplifies or dampens that frequency. The interaction is the echo; the win condition is a resonance that lasts longer than the carver's breath. If the stone does not sing back, the glyph is smoothed over and the process begins anew. The cave decides the pitch; the resonator decides the form.
The atelier keeps one rule from the 14th-century hermit's log: *the echo must outlast the breath that made it*. The mark is a hairline fracture in the stone, invisible to the eye but audible to the trained ear. The cave provides the silence; the chisel provides the voice. The echo provides the proof.
